Light Side And Dark Side In Epic Star Wars Violin Battle (VIDEO)

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, you may not have realized the latest Star Wars movie had hit theaters.

For everyone else, it has been wall-to-wall coverage on most news stations about the record lines and ticket sales for the opening weekend of the film. (Not to mention the never-ending battle between the dark side and light side!)

In not-surprising-news, Star Wars: The Force Awakens beat the previous record for the highest North America box office debut weekend total. This past weekend alone, the film raked in $238 million just in North America.

In much quieter fashion, another battle between the light side and dark side was occurring over on Youtube.

Arranged, orchestrated and performed by Taylor Davis, this latest battle between the light side vs. dark side is like nothing you’ve ever seen before.

With corresponding makeup, costumes, and two different light-saber styled bows, Davis brings both the light side and dark side to life in a new way.

According to her website, Davis is a “classically trained American violinist, arranger and composer, whose passion for video game and film music led her to launch her widely popular YouTube channel ‘ViolinTay’ in 2010.

That YouTube channel currently boasts over one million subscribers and 140 million total views of her videos (of which there are 150!).

It seems hard work is not new to this violinist, as she began studying and playing her violin at age 8, and continues to this day. Further, she graduated near the top of her class at Gonzaga University, where she majored in public relations and minored in violin performance.

Suffice this all to say, Davis is not only a hard worker, but clearly puts passion and love behind what she does. This video will thrill not only thrill Star Wars fans or fans of violin, but everyone who just enjoys some creative awesomeness! Enjoy!
