On Tuesday (yeah, this past Tuesday) GOP blowhard and presidential front-runner Donald Trump was boasting that he’ll be traveling to Israel soon to meet with his pal Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The PM was scheduled to meet with Trump during the visit on December 28th.
Prior to the end of the year, I will be traveling to Israel. I am very much looking forward to it.

However, on Wednesday, Israel’s PM Twitter account tweeted this:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejects Donald Trump's recent remarks about Muslims.
— PM of Israel (@IsraeliPM) December 9, 2015
And….yikes. This.
The State of Israel respects all religions and strictly guarantees the rights of all its citizens.

It should be noted that Netanyahu said in a frantic string of tweets on Wednesday that he’s willing to meet with any candidate, not just Trump. He does seem to be trying to back away from Trump, however.
Though Netanyahu claims that he is still willing to meet with The Donald, apparently Trump’s fee-fees were hurt and he canceled his trip. For now.
I have decided to postpone my trip to Israel and to schedule my meeting with @Netanyahu at a later date after I become President of the U.S.

Trump told Elisabeth Hasslebeck on Fox and Friends that Bibi’s rejection of his views played no role in his decision to postpone his trip. He said:
“I’m in the midst of a very powerful campaign… I would say lots of different reasons.”
Right.
My favorite response to this, from comedy writer and producer Simon Blackwell.

And there’s this.
@simonblackwell @realDonaldTrump To be fair, aren't we ALL postponing our meetings with world leaders until we become President of the US?

We’re in a really weird place when the Prime Minister of Israel is friendlier to Muslims than an American presidential candidate who is supported by half of the population of the U.S.
Here’s an informative video that calls Trump a “headache” for Bibi. Ha.
