Michelle Obama Films Rap Video, Right Wingers Call Her ‘Ghetto Trash’

Michelle Obama has done something that’s never been done before: added a rap video to a First Lady’s resume. Oh and part of it was filmed in the White House, which royally pissed off the right wing nut jobs.

The First Lady is featured in a College Humor video that addresses the importance of going to college — and she even added her own voice to the track!

“Southside Chicago, we all know, we had to do overtime every night to make it tomorrow,” she raps, in reference to her own biography. ”And everyone could really make their dream true. Hey, kid listenin’ in Michigan that could be you!”

The First Lady also appears in the chorus, inspiring teens to “go to college and fill your head with knowledge.”

The video was produced by College Humor and features Saturday Night Live comedian Jay Pharaoh, who audaciously (and delightedly) hops up on a Rose Garden table and “cavorts” all over the grounds. Pharaoh is known for his excellent SNL portrayals of Pres. Obama.

In the video, you can see several scenes of the First Lady at the White House, including one of her makeshift studio. Watch:

A statement from the First Lady’s office said that the video collaboration is in support of Mrs. Obama’s Better Make Room awareness campaign, a part of her Reach Higher initiative.

“This campaign is leveraging traditional and new media platforms to celebrate student stories in the same way that we often celebrate celebrities and athletes,” the statement reads. “Better Make Room strives to ensure that Generation Z, or young people 14-19, understand the steps, tools, and resources available to help them Reach Higher.” (People)

Predictably, right wing nut job fans of Breitbart.com spewed their typical hatred, sexism, and racism. Some of the comments, via screengrab at Breitbart (highlights mine):

Not surprised at all. But it’s hilarious that one of them said they can’t wait for classy first lady Melania Trump. Ha!
