Two Fox News contributors have been suspended for using profanity to disrespect President Obama on the air.

Stacey Dash, of Clueless fame (If that isn’t fitting I don’t know what is), was co-hosting Outnumbered when she commented on President Obama’s recent speech about terrorism stating:

“I felt like he could give a shit — excuse me, like he could care less.”

Fox News strategic analyst, Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, while appearing on Fox Business stated, “I mean this guy is such a total pussy, it’s stunning.” The program’s host, Stuart Varney, snapped back at Peters, “You can’t use language like that on the program, OK?” Peters immediately apologized:

“I do apologize for giving into my anger, but I feel like you know the American people understand where I’m coming from on this. My choice of words was incorrect, but my sentiment, I think, is shared by many.”

However, the damage had already been done.

Fox senior executive vice president, Bill Shine, said:

“Earlier today, Fox contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air, but implied racism, sexism, xenophobia, cheap smear tactics, and emotional manipulation designed to wind up Tea Party members continues to be approved at the highest executive levels. “

For her part, Dash is unapologetic about her comments. After receiving her sanction from Fox News she tweeted:

“Consequences. Some of us have to pay them. Gladly.”

We too are glad that Ms. Dash is off the air, even for a little while. The term of the suspensions for both contributors has been levied at two weeks.
