Just like television commercials, adult film styles differ from culture to culture based on their conservatism affecting their laws. For instance, in America, we’re heathens. As long as you’re at least 18, no children, and no animals you’re good to go. Unlawful at the federal level, local areas may make their own laws as long as they do not conflict with federal statutes.
However, let’s take a trip across the ocean to Asia. In South Korea, any adult material including websites, books, writings, films, magazines, and photographs are illegal, and the law is strictly enforced. Nope. It’s not a law that gets ignored. Distribution can get you fined or sentenced to two years in prison. Also, the South Korean government blocks websites.
So, with that being said, what would a Korean man think of American erotic films? Apparently, we’re shocking, disgusting, and traumatizing.
