Watch CCTV Footage Of Girl Saving Little Sister From Attempted Walmart Abduction

Frightening footage of what appears to be the attempted kidnapping of a three-year-old as she was out shopping with her grandmother and older sister has been released.

The CCTV footage from a Walmart in Perry, Utah shows a man dawdling in an aisle near the shopping cart that the toddler was sat in while her grandmother and 14-year-old sister stand nearby.

The man seems to be watching the family and when both the grandmother and sister turn their backs momentarily the man seizes the opportunity to creep towards the cart where the three-year-old innocently sits, even putting a finger to his lips as if to signal her to keep quiet, before taking hold of the cart and trying to move it away.

The footage shows the 14-year-old girl realize what the man is doing and grab hold of the shopping cart, yelling to get her grandmother’s attention. The grandmother confronts the man and after a brief conversation he appears to walk away.

When confronted by the grandparent the man reportedly acted very casually and sources say he even asked the sibling “will you come guard my dogs” because of what he called her “protective” nature.

According to CCTV footage the man stayed at Walmart for two hours after the incident took place meaning that he was wandering around the store without a shopping cart for a period of almost four hours.

This incident happened at around 12.50 pm on Wednesday afternoon. It was not reported to the police until the family had gotten home later on that afternoon, by which point the man had finally left the store.

Sources state that the man, whose name has not been released, saw himself on a television news report and handed himself in voluntarily. He has since been questioned by police and released without charge as the police claim that the CCTV footage does not show enough evidence of him acting suspiciously to warrant an arrest.
