NOM President Calls Gay Rights Lies That Cause Children To Suffer

Despite being excellent news for many members of the LGBT community who are now able to marry the person they are in love with, the act of legalizing same-sex marriage across America seems to have disgruntled various anti gay rights groups. The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) is taking particular offense.

President of NOM Brian Brown has recently concocted yet another reason the legalization of same-sex marriage should be reversed and has written about it on a blog post soliciting donations that went up on the NOM website yesterday.

In the post addressed to all “marriage supporters” Brown highlighted NOM’s aim of restoring marriage to its “rightful place in the law” in a bid to protect children who are “suffering” from this act of equality.

Brown implied that all same-sex marriages are a sham and referred to them as “lies” which ultimately deny love to the children who are brought up with same-sex parents. He wrote:

“There’s no doubt that eventually the lie of same-sex marriage will make itself clear to people as they witness the reality of children suffering under a viewpoint that strips marriage of gender-complementarity[sic] and denies children the love of one of their natural parents.”

After this comment, Brown proceeded to promote Presidential candidates who openly oppose to the rights of the gay community writing:

“You see, electing a pro-marriage champion as president is the fastest way to reverse the illegitimate and anti-constitutional ruling of the US Supreme Court redefining marriage, and to ensuring that the government does not discriminate against supporters of traditional marriage.”

Brown then goes on to write about how NOM will have the chance to discuss traditional values and marriage with several Republican Presidential candidates including Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, and Mike Huckabee at an event organized by NOM that will be held this weekend.

Brown noted how the event will provide the opportunity for NOM to grill the Republican presidential candidates, four of which are notoriously anti-gay and have already pledged to void all same-sex marriages should the opportunity for them to do so arise, on important issues such as “overturning the illegitimate and anti-constitutional ruling of the Supreme Court redefining marriage” and defending “the truth of marriage as a profoundly important institution for men and women, and especially any children born of their union.
