Speaking at the anti-gay World Congress of Families 2015 that recently took place at Salt Lake City, Rafael Cruz made some strange and awful claims about the LGBT community. Cruz, who is the father of the GOP Presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz, made controversial and homophobic statements (are we honestly that surprised?) linking the LGBT community to pedophilia.
In a truly bizarre claim Cruz stated that he thinks the LGBT community supports pedophilia when he was asked if he thought there were any links between the two. Cruz openly likened homosexuals to sex offenders by ridiculously stating that he did not think it would be long until the LGBT community started a campaign to abolish all standing laws on statutory rape in an attempt to legalize pedophilia.
Cruz made these comments during a discussion about education, in which he voiced his concerns about today’s youth. He believes the children of today are being brainwashed by the curriculums of public schools which make it mandatory to teach children awareness and acceptance of the LGBT community.
Cruz went so far as to suggest that children should either attend a Christian school or be homeschooled in order to de-program them from accepting homosexuality as being normal.
Cruz is notorious for making hateful statements about the LGBT community. These unfounded comments at the World Congress of Families 2015 are the latest in a string of bizarre and homophobic remarks.
These comments follow a statement he made in September where he claimed that the devil himself was involved with the legalization of same-sex marriage with the hope of causing Christian people to riot amongst themselves.
