So here I was watching “The Rachel Maddow Show” last night when Rachel said she was about to show a clip from the “Bad Lip Reading” version of the first Democratic debate. Since I’m familiar with BLR’s previous work–which is always hilarious–I paid close attention. And I was not disappointed.
Bernie Sanders gets a lot of screen time in the video–which you can watch below–and even gets to do some free-form poetry. But perhaps the most hilarious lines are reserved for Martin O’Malley, who complains that Clinton is blinking far too much to suit him.
Another highlight is the “Drawing Corner” drawing contest that the candidates engage in. Jim Webb’s drawing shows us a burglar who steals fruit and a brownie, but manages to leave his milk behind. Hillary’s drawing is “bird who shoots a man in his pee-wee.” And Chafee’s artwork is, somewhat oddly, of a boy with a bloody nose. Hmm…some projection there, Brother Chafee?
Do yourself a favor and watch this video and share it with your friends. It may well be the funniest thing you see until the next “Bad Lip Reading” production reaches us.
