An Oklahoma woman is under arrest after being so drunk while driving that she literally fell out of her pickup truck–which she was driving at the time–and endangering the life of her 3-year-old twin sons, one of whom was able to stand in the driver’s seat, guide the truck across four lanes of traffic, and crash into the curb with no one being injured.
Taola Foster is now charged with drunk driving, which, considering how she endangered the lives of her children, would seem to be the least of her crimes.
Thanks to a passing motorist who turned around and flashed his hazard lights to prevent other vehicles from crashing into the children, a major tragedy was avoided.
And how exactly did the World’s Worst Mom manage to fall out of the truck she was driving? Well, Ms. Foster claims that one of the children unbuckled his safety belt. She was attempting to refasten it–while driving drunk as a skunk–and this caused her epic exit from the vehicle.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered an empty liquor bottle on the floor of the truck. Witnesses stopped to comfort the children while Mommy Dearest took–and failed–a sobriety test. She was then and charged with driving under the influence. The boys were released into the custody of their grandfather.
Several years ago, before I became a parent, I heard someone make a remark that I didn’t fully understand until after I became a father: Some people should never be parents. Now I know that person was talking about Taola Foster.
