Ben Carson Is Addicted to The War On Drugs

I really want to thank Ben Carson for all of the hard work he’s done on this site’s behalf. It seems like every week he says something that our writers can berate him for, which in turn drives a lot of traffic. Never change Mr. Carson, because if you do I’m not sure how we’re all going to put food on the table.

All kidding aside, in a recent interview with Glenn Beck Carson proclaimed his support for the War On Drugs. The exact text as provided by The Atlantic reads as follows:

Beck: Do you continue the War on Drugs?

Ben Carson: Absolutely.

Beck: You do?

Carson: I intensify it.

Beck: Let me ask you a question. I mean, it doesn’t seem to be working now.

Carson: Yeah, well, go down to the border in Arizona like I was a few weeks ago. I mean, it’s an open highway. And the federal government isn’t doing anything to stop it.

Beck: Okay. Legalize marijuana?

Carson: I disagree with it.

So this isn’t a case of the mean old “Liberal Media” putting words into the mouth a conservative candidate, this is a case of Ben Carson once again proving that he is completely incapable of being this country’s leader. If Glenn Beck, of all people, has a better grasp on domestic policy than a presidential hopeful then we’re in bad shape as a country.

That’s not even mentioning the fact that Ben Carson advocates for limiting free speech in the form of denying federal funding to campuses that exhibit an “extreme political bias.” While this is just speculation, I’m going to assume that Ben Carson only cares about political bias if a university or college tends to have a more liberal make up. So not only does Ben Carson support the War On Drugs, he apparently also advocated for waging war on free speech.

In light of Carson’s recent comments, I’m announcing a war on people who forget to use their turn signal and/or comment mean things on my articles. If Carson can go to war with a plant and one of the basic rights of our country I feel it’s only fair that I should be able to go to war with people who mildly annoy me.

While it’s pretty fun to laugh at Ben Carson, like the time he professed his concern of secular progressives coming to murder him, the fact that this man has gained the support that he has should scare people. Republicans are starting to drift away from limiting the power of the government while sprinting directly toward full on fascism.

I’ve said this before, but I’m going to repeat it now. You all need to vote. The president may not actually have the power to do a lot of the things that Carson advocated for, but if he or any of the goons who share his opinions are elected we can expect our country to dramatically change for the worst.
