What Dr Ben Carson Says About Evolution Will Blow Your Mind

Republicans have a long track record of making some pretty outrageous statements condemning science.

For example, a few years ago, Paul Broun, a republican representing the state of Georgia, was appointed a member of the House Science Committee by GOP leaders. Here’s what he had to say about theories like the “Big Bang” and Evolution”,

“God’s word is true. I’ve come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution, embryology, Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell. It’s lies to try to keep me and all the folks who are taught that from understanding that they need a savior. There’s a lot of scientific data that I found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth. I believe that the Earth is about 9,000 years old. I believe that it was created in six days as we know them. That’s what the Bible says. And what I’ve come to learn is that it’s the manufacturer’s handbook, is what I call it. It teaches us how to run our lives individually. How to run our families, how to run our churches. But it teaches us how to run all our public policy and everything in society. And that’s the reason, as your congressman, I hold the Holy Bible as being the major directions to me of how I vote in Washington, D.C., and I’ll continue to do that.”

In 2012, then acclaimed neurosurgeon Ben Carson delivered a speech in which he called the big bang theory a part of the “fairy tales” being touted by “highfalutin scientists.”
Carson, a doctor people trust to cut open their children’s heads and literally mess with their brains, also made this unbelievable statement,

““I personally believe that this theory that Darwin came up with was something that was encouraged by the adversary, and it has become what is scientifically, politically correct.””

For anyone who’s confused, adversary is another name used to describe “Satan” or “The devil.” Christians have long associated scientific theories like “evolution” and “the big bang” as being ungodly, demonic and evil. And of course any “facts” you bring up that says otherwise were, of course, invented by “the adversary.” Heads they win, tails they win.

Carson recently addressed what people were saying about his “unique” views,

“I’m not gonna denigrate you because of your faith and you shouldn’t denigrate me for mine. And that’s the kind of attitude, you know – that’s the kind of attitude that I think is very important in the society in which we live today.”

Well…he certainly told us!

Why on earth would we want to question or “denigrate” a man who believes that the devil, or rather, the“adversary” invents or influences scientific theory? I mean come on what’s the worst that could happen should a man like Carson becomes President Of The United States?
