“Planned Parenthood News” is trending and, just like they did with Obamacare, the GOP is lying. Once again, the GOP is threatening a Government Shutdown.
The Republican Party opposition to Planned Parenthood stems primarily from the issue of Abortion. However, they also cite a video that was released the GOP claims proves the organization is involved in illegal activity.Unlike the ACORN video, the mainstream media has done a good job of fact-checking the heavily edited video that accuses Planned Parenthood of “human trafficking,” and getting a 13-year-old child an abortion.
What the real planned parenthood news is here are the lies being propagated by Speaker of the House, John Boehner (R-OH), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and now several 2016 GOP Hopefuls led by Carly Fiorina. Carly Fiorina must have thought she was standing in the line at Burger King during the Wednesday night’s second GOP debate. Her remarks concerning some secretive video of some grotesque abortion performed by ” Planned Parenthood.” was a “Double Whopper” with cheese.

What’s in currently with “Planned Parenthood News?” A replay and repackaging of the female version of Mitt Romney. Stiff in stature, rigid in her nature, and straight-faced when lying out of both sides her mouth. The real problem the lady story teller has now is how does she walk the falsehood comments back.
There is no such video in existence. But, just like Mitt Romney. As of the rendition of this article, Carly Fiorina is not offering a soft walk back from her comments. She is not claiming she exaggerated. Fiorina not even attempting to say she was speaking metaphorically. Now, she has put herself between a ” rock and a hard place.” Carly Fiorina is Mitt Romney all over again.
Will Republicans Force Another Government Shutdown?
There are some things that are certain about Washington D.C. There are problems. The month of October is on the horizon. Are the Republicans going to try and hold the American people hostage using Planned Parenthood like they did over Obamacare? Even though the last Government Shutdown cost We The People $25 billion we did gets some laughs out of it. The whole escapade did nobody any good. Yes, the GOP came out of it a loser. However, it did not show in the 2014 Mid-Terms.
Now, here comes the elephant herd threatening to shut the government down all over again. Mitch McConnell went on record with Politico to say there would not be a shutdown over “Planned Parenthood” funding.
A government shutdown would not defund Planned Parenthood any more than shutting down the government two years ago would have defunded Obamacare. But, the problem McConnell has is that he has microscopic control over the Tea Party. There are questions that come to the front right away. Does the Tea Party have enough power in Congress to shut the government down? Does Ted Cruz (R-TX) have the influence he had two years ago? Republicans are famous for having short and long term memory loss.
Cruz, currently trailing in the polls and not doing nearly as well as his trumped up ego would have us believe, needs this issue to fire up his Tea Party base. Had it not been for the slow technical problems of the Obamacare website the situation could have been even worse for the Republicans in 2012.
The bottom line is that our research shows this Congress has not done a single thing to move closer to any budget resolution. There is no short changing this issue. Government has stalled, and the GOP are using “Planned Parenthood News,” as a means to and end to keep the public’s eye off the issue.
It’s The Washington Two-Step. There is nothing moving towards a budget resolution at the moment. There have been no “Appropriation Bills,” which were a precursor to budget deals in the past. The fight over the Confederate Flag took up an enormous chunk of time.
The Democrats are advocating fund the government lets’s keep “Moving Forward.” It’s time to focus on the deal makers and not the deal breakers. But, what we are hearing is more “kick the can” politics going on in Washington. Here are some truisms. Our country under the leadership of President Obama is taking in more money than it is spending. The Republicans are out of talking points. It begs the question that we reported on here at Liberal America last month: What does the GOP stand for?
The Planned Parenthood News Is Manufactured News
Planned Parenthood takes up a minuscule portion of the overall budget. Within that allotment, not one cent goes towards funding for abortion services provided by the organization. I know people who are friends who got much-needed quality help from Planned Parenthood. I know family members who have gotten help from Planned Parenthood. Millions of American citizens depend on Planned Parenthood. So, why is “Planned Parenthood News” front and center at the moment? Politics!
