Racist Culture Within Law Enforcement Exposed Brilliantly In Scene From 90’s Sitcom

In this scene from the 90’s ABC sitcom Family Matters, the father who’s also a police Sargent, Carl Winslow confronts two officers who profiled, harassed, and abused his son Eddie Winslow.

This powerful scene highlights the arrogance and culture of corruption within the Law Enforcement community in the United States.

The character Jack Evans appears to be the veteran police officer, who holds some very racist views towards minorities. His partner Jimmy Carmicheal, is a rookie on the force learning the ropes from Evans.

Carl sits down and discusses the previous night’s events with the two officers, which leads to one of the best scenes in the show’s 9 year history.

Here’s the scene.
