I knew former Texas Governor and 2016 GOP candidate Rick Perry was stupid, but I had no idea he was also mentally unstable.
Over the weekend, at a “We Stand With God” rally held in South Carolina, Perry proclaimed he was “willing to die” to fight what he termed the “political corruption (of) the left,” and then added:
“Will you join me in that effort? Will you load up? Are you ready to sacrifice? What are you willing to die for? Are you willing to rise up and stand for God and to go forward and live for the principles and the values that this country were based upon? Are you ready? Onward Christian soldiers!”
Anyone willing to die for anything that comes out of this dimbulb’s mouth is just unstable as he is.
So let’s take a moment to compare His Holiness Rick Perry with Jesus Christ:
You may recall that Jesus preached that the “kingdom of heaven” belongs to children. How does Saint Rick square that concept with the fact that he and the Texas legislature cut education funding by $5.4 billion?
Perry signed almost 300 execution orders as Texas governor, including one that sent a father convicted in the arson deaths of his children to his death after prosecutors hid evidence of his innocence. While he was at it, he also vetoed a ban on executing mentally disabled inmates. Sound Christlike to you?
The Great Perry also turned down billions in federal dollars that would have expanded Medicaid coverage to 1.5 million less fortunate Texans. Can you find anyplace in the Bible that would justify this action?
So Rick Perry thinks he’s like Jesus, does he? Not only is that an insult to Jesus and to God Himself, it’s also an insult to the intelligence of any person with a pulse.
