The Republican Party for decades now has controlled the South. There have been many in the Democratic Party that have suggested throwing in the towel. Then along comes Bernie Sanders, Socialist.
Just this week supporters of Sanders announced they were opening a campaign office in Phoenix Arizona. That’s right “Candy Apple Red Arizona.” Why not, less than a month ago a Bernie Sanders, Socialist rally packed the Convention Center there with 11 thousand Sanders supporters. The eye-opener here is that this is not an isolated occurrence. Just a few weeks ago Sanders drew over five-thousand in ” Dark Red Louisiana.”
Bernie Sanders Socialist Drawing Huge Crowds In Red States!
You have to admire what Bernie Sanders is doing early in this presidential race. He is not shying away from campaigning in the ” Deep Southern Red States.” He has shown up in Redneck country like Louisiana and what happens? Bernie Sanders Socialist packs the venue. Even, though Bernie Sanders is as humble as it gets, he is looking very much like a ” Rock Star.” His down to earth common-sense message is resonating with the everyday American citizen.
Moreover, the courage Sanders is showing by taking his message across enemy lines (for lack of term) tells his supporters, and opponents he has ” No Fear.” If you have any doubts about his courage, Bernie Sanders is taking his message straight into the ” Lions Den,” in September to speak at Liberty University. Sanders will be talking to the”Jerry Falwell Crowd.” Liberty University is well known for being a bastion for the conservative Christian Right.
Let’s put this into context. Bernie Sanders Socialist is taking his message to a group of people who think he is the Devil himself, to a crowd that calls Sanders and Americans who support him every vile name in the book. What this reveals to this writer is that Bernie Sanders Socialist is a man’s man.
One can just bet, Sanders’ message will be one of the socialists values that the Bible teaches us about the life of Jesus Christ. “Sermon on the Mount” ring a bell?
In terms of politics, it’s an excellent strategy. For starters, it’s not something most Progressive politicians would do. I expect he will be heckled. The last Liberal to attempt a sortie across enemy lines into the mouth of the tiger was Ted Kennedy in 1983.
