Children are a blessing, but as any parent will tell you, the fact that they have no filter and will say the most awkward things at inopportune moments is what makes lots of parents wonder what is going on in their little brains.

The Huffington Post recently asked parents to recall some of the incredibly awkward moments they’ve shared with their children. Here are some of the best ones:

“Sitting down at a restaurant with my then 4-year-old and my best friend. The waitress asks what we would like to drink. Without hesitation, my 4-year-old says, ‘two Chardonnays and a Sprite.’” -Syndi Cleveland Gemmett
