A man in New York thought he would bully and attack a same-sex married couple he saw walking in SoHo, and he quickly came to regret that decision.

Larry and Daniel Lennox-Choate were enjoying a day on the town in New York City when an anti-gay lunatic targeted them with a physical attack. The  man screamed anti-gay slurs at the couple and punched Daniel in the face.

But what the man didn’t know is that both Larry and Daniel are West Point graduates with the requisite training to take care of themselves and give the man a severe beating.

Larry, seeing the man strike Daniel,  fought back and put a major beat down on the jerk who had the audacity to attack his husband. When he finished, the homophobe was laying in the street, bleeding.

On his Facebook page, Larry noted:

“First off- we’re ok. Aside from one fat lip and a sore punching arm, we are fine. The guy who screamed anti-gay obscenities at us in a bodega before sucker-punching Danny? He left covered in his own blood with his tail between his legs after I handled the situation and tossed him in the street like the coward loser he is.”

The two men also reported the incident to the New York Police Department, which is conducting and investigation.

Larry, however, said while he’s glad he and Daniel were able to defend themselves, he still worries about someone who might not be able to fight back:

“We refuse to be victims and are thankful we can defend ourselves, but are saddened by the fact that idiots like this guy might not pick two guys who went through Plebe Boxing next time.”

A note of warning to anyone who thinks that a same-sex couple may be easy prey for hatred and violence: You never know who you’re attacking or when you might run into people who are more than capable of handing you a severe beating for your intolerance.
