I’ll Take ‘A Course In Desperation’ For $1000, Alex
Jose Canseco, the steroid-abusing, former major league baseball player, says he will dress as a woman for one week to honor Caitlyn Jenner. This week-long experience will be featured on his website as a show for now, unless a major network like E! decides to pick it up, which is likely what he’s hoping for.
While no one knows if Canseco is still abusing steroids, this spectacle may very well indicate that he is certainly using illicit drugs, or at least taking a course in desperation. While the goodwill gesture might not be so suspicious, it certainly raises questions about Canseco’s sanity and ability to understand trans issues as a whole.
Canseco claims he was anti-trans until seeing Jenner’s experience in the media recently. At that point, he says he felt compassion and wanted to experience what Jenner goes through every day. I think it might be wiser and more beneficial for him to experience a drug-free life, but that’s just me. Canseco’s honesty is most obviously called into question as he continues to refer to Jenner as a “he.”
That said, I don’t intend to give the desperate house husband any more attention.
