Rhymes With ‘Huck’–Baltimore Has A Message For Mike Huckabee After He Insults The City

Some friendly advice for Mike Huckabee: Hey, I don’t like you, don’t agree with anything you say–never have and never will–but you might want to be careful who you pick a fight with.

Monday, Huckabee thought it would be a great idea to do some slagging of Baltimore and its mayor, ?Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. Speaking to the?National Sheriffs? Association, Huckabee just couldn’t resist shining the group’s boots with his outstretched tongue when he declared:

?When the Baltimore mob?rioted ? it was not the police that we needed to worry about, it was the lack of unified support at the highest levels of leadership for those who went out there and held the thin blue line against anarchy.?

Big big mistake, Huck. I guess he thought no one would fire back at him, but boy was he ever wrong!

A spokesperson for the City of Baltimore and Mayor Rawlings-Blake put Huckabee in his place with this statement:

?Any person who can’t give a straight answer on whether or not the Confederate flag should fly is the last person we should take advice from on bringing people together.?

Ouch! That’s gotta hurt!

That same spokesperson added:

?In Baltimore we love and support our police, but that love and support doesn’t mean we turn a blind eye when obvious reforms are needed.?We are up to the challenge and will continue to move our Police Department forward while improving the relationship between police and community.?

Yep, I have to agree with that completely. Huckabee doesn’t know diddly about Baltimore or the problems that plague people in the inner cities of America, but he couldn’t resist an opportunity to kiss the rumps of a few cops as he stood before them and attempted to sound like a tough guy.

Hey, Mike, I think Baltimore just told you to Huck off.
