Ann Coulter, no longer satisfied with merely attacking Democrats, Hispanics, blacks, and anyone else she deems unworthy of her respect, has now decided to go after a Republican: South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
Governor Haley has called for the removal of the Confederate flag from the statehouse in the aftermath of the horrific murder of nine African-Americans during a Bible study service by admitted racist Dylann Roof. And Coulter now says this proves that Haley is an immigrant who “does not understand America’s history.”
Coulter, never shy about saying aloud what her twisted mind thinks up, remarked:
?I’d really like to like Nikki Haley since she is a Republican, but on the other hand, she is an immigrant and does not understand America’s history.”
Actually, Governor Haley is just as American as Ann Coulter. Haley was born in South Carolina to Sikh immigrants who came to the United States.
Coulter made the remarks about Governor Haley on a show hosted by fellow idiot Lisa Kennedy, who was once a veejay on MTV. How that qualifies her to host a show is beyond me, but keep in mind the show is seen on the Fox Business Network, which is not exactly the height of erudition.
Kennedy asked Coulter if she thought immigrants were capable of ever understanding American history. To which Coulter replied:
?Well, she doesn’t. The Confederate flag we’re talking about never flew over an official Confederate building. It was a battle flag. It is to honor Robert E. Lee. And anyone who knows the first thing about military history, knows that there is no greater army that ever took the field than the Confederate Army.?
Well, Ann, I know quite a bit about history, including military history, and I’m also a native Southerner, unlike you, a native New Yorker. And the Confederate Army was not the greatest army that ever took the battlefield. If it had been, this would all be a moot point because the South would have won the Civil War and the Confederate flag would be flown everywhere.
Perhaps if Ms. Coulter would pull her head out of her posterior for a few minutes, she too would have a better understanding of history and the reason the Confederate flag should never again be flown in this country.
