Michael Moore Speaks The Truth On Twitter; Right Wingers Lose Their Minds Over It

Conservatives absolutely love to hate filmmaker Michael Moore. Anytime Moore so much as speaks a line of truth to power, they collectively go bonkers, lose their minds, and line up to attack him.

And it has happened yet again. This time as the result of a comment he posted on Twitter shortly after the horrible deaths of nine churchgoing people in Charleston, South Carolina, at the hands of admitted murderer Dylann Roof. Moore wrote:

Is any part of that statement the least bit incorrect? Not that I have been able to determine from doing research online. Moore is correct: A white terrorist did indeed kill more people in the span of two minutes than ISIS has over the past two years. So who is the real threat to our country?

But the reaction online from the right wing trolls and assorted digital vampires was almost immediate. Here’s some of what has been posted over the past three days:

No respect for victims? I beg to differ. Michael Moore merely wants to make sure we place the blame where it belongs: On right wing extremist groups that reside right here on American soil.

Can you see where this is starting to go? It has devolved from a legitimate discussion of who we should most fear in America to personal insults and an odd mention of life in Venezuela. WTF?!

But wait, it gets even more convoluted:

Moore doesn’t like himself? And he needs mental health insurance? Ever heard of the psychological term “projection?” That’s where you project your own problems onto another person and perceive them as the one who needs help.

Excuse me, “General Patton,” but I thought we were talking about the Charleston shootings and ISIS. Why are we now on the subject of the KKK and civil rights? But if you want to go there, we can: As I recall, it was a Democratic President, Lyndon Johnson, who finally cajoled Congress into passing civil rights legislation. And he did so as the culmination of a policy instituted by his predecessor, another Democrat, John F. Kennedy.

Almost no one has the ability to piss of the right wingers like Michael Moore can. And for that he will always remain a personal hero of mine.
