Twitter Users Slam Rupert Murdoch For His Incoherent Criticism Of Hillary Clinton

Maybe it’s a good idea Rupert Murdoch, CEO of Fox, is planning to retire soon, because he seems to be making less and less sense with each passing day.

On Sunday, shortly after Hillary Clinton made her formal announcement of a run for President in 2016, Murdoch posted this rambling, semi-coherent note on Twitter:

?HillaryNo (was) ?[s]urely smart enough to know she was talking nonsense at yesterday’s yesterday.?

Yesterday’s yesterday? Sounds like he’s been listening to way too many classic CDs from the Beatles. Murdoch added:

?Bashes rich banker friends without mention of ?carried interest?. Must gave heard from moneybag Sen Chuck Schumer.?

Okay, Rupert. Please put down the gin and tonic, sir. Don’t make us have to take them from you by force.

Yes, some have speculated that Boss Fox had been drinking, but could this merely be the early signs of senility? Perhaps Murdoch isn’t stepping down so much as being pushed by his family.

The response from the Twitterverse was sharp, to the point, and at times hilarious:

@rupertmurdoch Are you drunk?

@rupertmurdoch @JohnJohnsonson Rupert. You’re drunk. Step away from the keyboard.

Dude, you are so drunk right now. RT @rupertmurdoch: HillaryNo Promises outlaw free speech about LGBT. What next? Sounds almost fascist.

?@rupertmurdoch: HillaryNo Surely smart enough to know she was talking nonsense at yesterday’s yesterday.?>Rupert’s poet laureate phase.

@rupertmurdoch James Joyce did ‘Stream of Consciousness’ much better than this. Noble effort though, however incomprehensible.

Rupert Murdoch: Old Man Yells at Internet

@rupertmurdoch Well said Rupert. All the ingredients of good/responsible reporting are there. Print it!

@rupertmurdoch This is what happens when you let Sarah Palin run your Twitter account.

If you need to teach a small child the definition of irony, just use Rupert Murdoch’s tweets

@rupertmurdoch @irin Americans won’t long remember yesterday’s yesterday. But your nonsense is timeless.

So, Rupert, we wish you the best in your upcoming retirement, but please do us all (and yourself) a favor and stay away from the damn computer!
