Personally, I had never heard of Robby Dawkins until today. But apparently he’s some kind of really powerful faith healer. He’s so powerful that he even claims he can raise the dead.
Dawkins likes to use an incident which took place just last month as he was preaching in England as proof of his power over death. He claims that a man who came to hear him preach collapsed the moment he heard the title of the sermon Dawkins was about to preach. The man in question,?Matt Catlow, began twitching and his hands withered.?Dawkins adds:
?What I saw was a strong demonic presence over him.”
Sounds more like an epileptic seizure of some kind, but Dawkins says he heard a “death rattle” and Catlow’s heart stopped beating. He also says:
?I began to bind the spirit of death and say, ?You can’t have him!?? I began to declare the resurrection life of Jesus Christ over him. People were beginning to get a bit restless but then I could hear his breathing start to recover and his color started to return.?
Catlow’s sister, however, says Dawkins is full of crap. She also says Dawkins is making his ridiculous assertions about how he brought her brother back from the dead so he can sell more books and engage in self-promotion. She has set up a Facebook page to refute what Dawkins is saying:
?What Robby is telling everyone is not true. It has since been MEDICALLY proven that Matthew had suffered an epileptic seizure which often can display similar signs of someone dying. TWO nurse family friends of ours both had their hands on Matthew throughout and not once lost his pulse. So no, Matthew did not die.?
The man’s sister also reports that the pastor of the church that invited Dawkins to preach has apologized to the congregation, and she added:
?The doctor who was also there is said to be apologizing to them next week for all the pain caused through this unbelievable encounter that he had given and the shock that all this had been broadcast on Facebook by this coward of a man who will not face up to the actual truth.”
