For those who are not familiar with the HBO show “True Detective,” here is a brief summary of the show.
True Detective is a drama crime series on HBO. Its first season featured actors Woody Harrelson?and Mathew McConaughey. The two actors play homicide detectives Martin Hart and Rustin Cohle, set in rural south Louisiana during the 1990s. The show features some of the best dialog and acting on television. It is critically acclaimed and has a very loyal fan base.
One of the elements that made the first season so intriguing was the religious dynamic between the two characters and the great philosophical debates that took place between them.?McConaughey played an atheist, and Harrison played a believer.? Their points of view were not just played out with dialog. You also saw how their thinking affected their police work as well as decisions they made in their personal lives.
