Children are not born hating others for their differences. Put children of various races in a room together and they will play without discrimination. Children have to be taught to hate and to use hateful language in the most disgusting of ways.
Which makes me wonder about the 7-year-old boy in the video below. This video was shot in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, and in it, a white child can be seen telling a black man who is at the park with his daughter:
?You’re a n*gger.”
Thankfully, the father then grabbed his cellphone and started filming, remarking:
?Wait a second. We’re at Lincoln Park right now. This is Caleb and he wants to tell me something. What was that??
Does Caleb run away or shrink from the hate speech which has just come out of his mouth? No, he proudly repeats:
?You’re a black n*gger.”
The black man then says:
?I have no idea where his parents are. I don’t even know this little guy.?
Caleb then decides he will try to get something from this stranger despite that fact that he has just insulted him in front of his daughter:
?Hey, I need some money.”
The father, much calmer than I probably would have been in a similar situation, then admits:
?I have never, ever wanted to strike a kid, but he? kinda makes me want to want to.”
Just recently there was another example of a young boy who was filmed saying things that no child–or person–should ever say.
I don’t know Caleb’s last name, or who his parents are, or who taught him to say such terribly hurtful words, but I do know this: He needs to be shamed, and so does whoever filled his mind with hate. Let the shaming begin.
