Police Enforcement Fail: Officer Tells Man He Has No 5th Amendment Rights At Border

It seems like I can never run out of police enforcement fail videos to write about. Some people may call me obssessed with pointing out the failings of police officers. I’m honestly not — it’s just that there are too many incidents to ignore. This is something that happens every day with regular frequency. Police enforcement should be fair and should protect your rights, not violate them.

In this video a man invokes his 5th Amendment rights when a border officer gets too personal with his questions. Amazingly, the border officer lies and tells the man that his 5th Amendment rights do not apply because he’s not being arrested; he’s only being “detained.”

What’s really amazing is the fact most people would probably fall for this. Most people believe that they have to answer questions by the police. Part of it is that people?want to help police enforcement and people want to be helpful citizens in general. Another part is that police enforcement knows how to lie and trick you into freely abandoning your rights. Just as in the video, they will tell you:

“You have to answer my questions.”

If you don’t answer questions they can detain you; this is a tactic used to break people down. What police enforcement apologists don’t seem to understand is that cops will lie and bully people to get the results they want. It happens every day, it’s a part of their training.

We must change this culture through videos and lawsuits until the message becomes clear. But to be clear, our battlefield must be in the court rooms — not the streets.

Citizens should become more savvy of how the law works, but also stick to the basics. stick to your rights and don’t waver. Our rights were never meant to be convenient for us to have, but they are worth our lives to protect!? We the people must take back our rights and demand change or else cops will continue to lie and bully citizens.

I would love to see the officer in this video try to explain?his actions?to his supervisor or a disciplinary board. Watch below.
