Watch out everyone, Lindsey Graham says he will be formally announcing his run for president on the first day of June.

Sen. Graham (R-N.C.), on an interview on ?CBS This Morning? announced the reason for his running is simply ?because the world is falling apart,? but over the weekend in Iowa he (jokingly?) commented on his intentions by saying:

?I’m thinking of running for president. You get a house, and a car and a plane. It’s a pretty good gig.?

Yes, being the president is a good gig, but where does he stand on the issues? What has he been standing for while in the Senate? He has voted against same-sex marriage despite the rumors of his own sexuality. He consistently votes for more prayer and less money for schools. He has voted to keep the EPA from regulating greenhouse gasses and against tax incentives for energy production and conservation. In June of 1999 he voted in favor of lowering the wait period for a firearm from three days, to one day.

There was recently quite a bit of controversy Friday after he labeled Iranians as liars.

?Everything I learned about Iranians I learned working in the pool room. I met a lot of liars and I know Iranians are liars.?

Looking at the big picture, all of this is to be expected from a GOP candidate; he has it all: traditional marriage values, voting in favor of reckless abandon of our atmosphere despite scientific evidence, guns for everyone, poor education systems and racism. He even has the support of John McCain, who said last month that Graham would be his top choice.

Eventually, Americans as a whole need to wake up and see that who we are voting into positions of power should be acting in favor of humanity, not just themselves, not just a small group of people, but for everyone.
