Oregon Teen Turns The Tables On Anti-LGBT Protesters In A Truly Awesome Way

Makaila Ragan finally had enough, and so she decided to do something about the hateful anti-LGBT protesters who were being obnoxious and intolerant outside the office in Tillamook, Oregon, where her mother happens to work.

She didn’t berate the protesters. She didn’t say anything at all to them. Instead, she made a sign of her own that read, “I LOVE GAYS,” and stood next to the anti-LGBT protesters. And in a short time she was joined along the way by dozens of other pro-LGBT citizens, including several local pastors.

As Ragan explains:

?I was so irritated because I see them all around town, and all they ever do is make people feel like crap about themselves.”

Unlike the inventive and peaceful?Makaila, the men who were against LGBT rights began to verbally harass her:

?They were calling me names, and asking my mom questions, like, ?How many times did you have to get an abortion before you were able to have your daughter?? and saying, ?You’re going to burn in hell right along with your daughter.’ The things they were saying were just awful, but I didn’t let them faze me.?

As you can tell, this young lady is a remarkably resilient person, and others soon agreed with her, bringing food and flowers. One man even donated money so the pro-LGBT group could buy refreshments for themselves.

The clergy members who joined the demonstration told the anti-LGBT rights protesters something they could not possibly deny, something that those of us who truly wish to emulate Christ believe more strongly than anything else:

“Everyone is loved by God.”

Ragan has set up a Facebook group and says she has every intention of organizing demonstrations in the future.
