Leave it to the good old National Rifle Association (NRA) to break out the lies 18 months before the 2016 election is even held. And the target of their misinformation is Hillary Clinton.
Mind you, Ms. Clinton hasn’t even won the Democratic nomination yet, but the nutjobs at the NRA are acting as if it’s all just a formality. So they’ve concluded it must be time to attack her with the most outrageous and paranoid delusions they can dream up in their armament-obsessed brains.
A recent article on the NRA’s website claimed the following:
?Whether or not she understands the Second Amendment, Hillary Clinton disdains and distrusts that freedom. She distrusts the American people to possess that freedom. So she wants control over every aspect of your right to keep and bear arms?so she can deny it at will.?
Grab my flintlock and powder, Ma! That dang Hillary’s a comin’ to take away all the guns! Time for revolution!
Let’s take a moment to actually examine where Clinton stands on the Second Amendment, the subject of every NRA members most perverse and satisfying fantasies:
Clinton has said that she does favor banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. She has not tried to hide her disdain for these weapons of mass destruction which have been used at places such a Newtown to murder dozens of precious, innocent children. On the issue of gun rights, here is what Hillary Clinton has said:
?We’ve got to rein in what has become an almost article of faith than anybody can have a gun anywhere, anytime, and I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people. I think you can say that and still support the right of people to own guns.?
Amen to that! Does anyone truly need to be allowed to carry a gun outside a school, or into a restaurant, as some of the most extreme open carry activists are constantly pressing for the right to do? That way lies madness.
The NRA and their millions of fanatical members and supporters–loose cannons such as Ted Nugent and Sarah Palin–will be claiming in the months ahead that a Hillary Clinton Administration will try to rip guns away from every person in the United States. But those are merely the lies they use to raise even more blood money to fund their deadly propaganda efforts.
