The Internet Is A Cruel Mistress: Woman Fired From Job For Facebook Post

Ok, everyone, repeat after me: We should always be very careful what we post on social media because we need to remember that the entire freaking world can see what we put there!?This is a lesson a woman in Texas had to learn the hard way.

Kaitlyn Walls, a single mom, had just gotten hired to work at a daycare center, and how did she celebrate? She went to Facebook and posted the following message:

?I start my new job today. But I absolutely hate working at day care [?] Lol, it’s all good, I just really hate being around a lot of kids.?

It’s not all good for Kaitlyn, because the daycare center saw her catty post and promptly let her know her services would not longer be needed. Walls never even got to start her new job before she was yet again looking for another one.

The Internet can be a cruel place, and some on the web began firing posted shots at Ms. Walls, calling her? a ?dumb bitch? and saying she had the “Bubonic plague.”

Walls says she was deeply offended and hurt by what was said to her and about her online:

?I had all these girls attacking me because I don’t want to be around a lot of kids all the time. I actually cried. It really hurt me because I wasn’t trying to offend anybody ever.?

Nah, nothing offensive about a woman going to work at a daycare saying she doesn’t like being around a lot of children. Can’t imagine why anyone got upset about that remark.

Walls is now apologizing for her post, telling a local TV station:

?It really was a big mistake. I don’t hate children ? I have my own, she’s beautiful and I love her. I was just venting.?

Some free advice for Ms. Walls: Next time you feel like venting, share your frustrations with your dog, or just stuff them in a sack and sit on it until the urge goes away.
