Rand Paul Will Cripple The United States

More or less this will serve as your guide to Rand Paul and his presidential plans. The first thing on Rand Paul’s agenda is to reclaim the 18 trillion dollar hole America finds itself in. Too bad he doesn’t realize that’deficit spending is sometimes necessary.

How does he plan to eliminate the 18 trillion dollar dark hole?

Oh, just simple cuts like the Department of Education, Amtrak subsidies, Department of Energy?- just to name a few. You know, just simple and easy cuts by his standards. Oh, I forgot to add privatization of Medicare and partially privatized Social Security.

Paul is essentially proposing what I like to call “shooting blind.” Paul thinks that by blindly cutting (shooting) we can get ourselves out of debt and bring back some good ole’ American spirit.

What Rand is actually proposing is eliminating government funds going to education, which would in turn cripple each and every school system that may receive up to half of?their operating?budget from the federal level.

Next is the Department of Energy. You know, that place that creates policies and safety procedures regarding production and governance of nuclear weapons? They are also responsible for domestic energy production. Simply eliminating it will only reduce around 30 billion dollars. Pocket change that does a lot more good than bad. But alas, Paul seeks elimination – not efficiency or anything resembling common sense.

Paul wants to privatize Medicare. The?problem with privatizing Medicare is that it can’t be turned into a for-profit money-making machine as many?Republicans think it can be. It’s a system that was put in place to help those that need access to health care and are otherwise unable to get it. It’s not like some discount product that you can sell to people that just can’t pay the full amount. It’s called offering people a helping hand when they need it.

Privatization of Social Security. Okay, Rand Paul, let’s get this straight you have been led to believe by Conservative buddies?that America’s debt and financial problems have been caused by grandma cashing in her Social Security check so that she can buy herself the necessities to live. This is a common misconception.?American financial problems have been caused by wealth inequality due to what Republicans fail to believe is Corporate Greed, not grandma eating tuna.

According to John Stossel our good friend over at Fox News he thinks that

“Liberals should consider voting for this Republican. Paul’s been more vocal than any Democrat in his warnings about civil liberties violations by police, the Dept. of Homeland Security and the NSA.”

While Stossel may have a point that Paul has been quite vocal, it should be noted that his vocalization is merely bombastic. Little of what Paul is seeking will come true and his 2016 run was actually over before it began, but lets let him think that he can cash in on some Republican points.

If Rand Paul wants to get the America back that Republicans have claimed is lost, he might want to start doing something that Conservatives just don’t do – look at Economics.
