I know… Liz, let the “Enter Sandman” love die down. I apologize profusely… but someone covered it (and covered it well)?with a banjo, a mandolin, and a drum. A BANJO!!! Metallica now has to worry about Banjo Guy Ollie.
Ever read my bio at the bottom of articles? I attempt to play banjo and fail?hard. I try though. I cannot tell you how hard the banjo is. If you have ever thought it was just a dumb redneck musical instrument, it takes a crazy amount of skill that not many?possess.
Anyways, Banjo Guy Ollie posted the Youtube video of his cover of the Metallica classic. All instruments are played by him. The solo, which I wondered how in the heck he was going to pull off, was done on mandolin (also difficult).
After checking out his Youtube channel, most of the covers are of video game tunes (which is fine by me – let’s pick n grin to some Mario). They are still complicated, however. He does have a cover of the?Game of Thrones?theme song that is absolutely beautiful.
Ok, so I’ll stop now with “Enter Sandman” (maybe). However,?don’t let me find any covers of Guns N’Roses anywhere, or I’ll never shut up.
