How To Tell If Your Religious Liberties Are Being Violated (CHART)

Religious freedom is important to me — as is freedom FROM religion. Separation of church and state is urgent. Why do I think so, as a Christian?

  • Because I believe differently than many Christians.
  • Because I don’t want to be forced to remove my “abortion causing” (sarcasm) IUD.
  • Because I want to observe Sabbath on the correct day if I want to.
  • Because I am a Red Letter Christian ++ Christian Left ++ who is passionate about the rights of ALL people.
  • Because I think many evangelicals and the Christian Right cross a lot of boundaries into areas that are potentially evil. I don’t want them dictating my life, or my daughter’s life.

We MUST protect the separation of church and state at all costs.

Here is a handy little chart from Patheos that will help you (and me) know if our religious liberties are being violated. This chart was put together by Patheos based on?an article in at?Huffington Post?by Rev. Emily Heath of the United Church of Christ.

Here’s a newsflash, Christian Righters. Your religious liberties are not being violated. You are, indeed, trying to violate mine.
