SNL Mocks Starbucks RaceTogether Campaign With Hilarious LGBT Sketch

Saturday Night Live is a fixture more enduring than nearly any television show made, ever. A witty and progressive ambiance is sure to be felt with each passing episode.

The monolithic coffee chain, Starbucks, recently started their “RaceTogether Campaign,” a campaign that was geared towards opening up the racial dialogue over an awkward barista to customer interaction.?As one can guess, it has not been received well, –?at all.

In the most recent episode, SNL mocks Starbucks blatantly by creating a satirical Pepboys commercial with a “movement” of their own.?In the commercial, the PepBoys introduce the faux #Genderflect campaign, a campaign meant to just as awkwardly talk about all things LGBT.

SNL jesters hurl awkward questions about hermaphroditic sex, whether gay men can call things ‘gay’, and other things nearly as loaded at completely unsuspecting “strangers.”

It is a move true to the creed that SNL has lived by, reveal truth and progress the needle, one smile at a time.
