‘Is That A Sunset?’ — Colorblind People See Color For The First Time

This is without a doubt the most emotionally moving ad ever put out by a paint company. From the video description:

Nearly 300 million people experience the world without certain colors every day. ?Color For the Colorblind? is a short documentary about what happened when we partnered with EnChroma, maker of color blindness-correcting glasses, to help people experience colors for the first time. We believe in #ColorForAll.

Colorblindness can have such a profound effect on people, particularly as children. Sufferers share their stories of not being able to match clothing properly, being laughed at for being the worst at coloring and making embarrassing mistakes, and more.

To watch a man experience a sunset for the first time, or a father see his child’s artwork in color — so moving. We are so accustomed to taking things for granted.?Valspar is working with EnChroma to provide these special glasses to people with color vision deficiency.?Enjoy this short video and read more about the project.
