Republican Aaron Schock Resigns After Being Caught Red Handed

Republicans always seemed to blame Democrats for lavish spending or misuse of tax payer dollars, but now that’s all about to change.

Today, Illinois Republican congressman Aaron Schock resigned midst allegations of misuse government and campaign funds. While his resignation isn’t until March 31st Schock had this to say

“Serving the people of the 18th District is the highest and greatest honor I have had in my life. I thank them for their faith in electing me and letting me represent their interests in Washington. … But the constant questions over the last six weeks have proven a great distraction that has made it too difficult for me to serve the people of the 18th District with the high standards that they deserve and which I have set for myself,”

Schock has been facing many accusations for using government funds for personal expenses and then claiming to be reimbursed. Schock is also under investigation for using public tax dollars and campaign funds for private air travel. in addition documents show that Schock owned a house that was built, sold, and financed by political contributions. He was also questioned about mileage expenses. But what’s funniest and most serious is that Schock redesigned to look like the set of “Downton Abbey” and then had tax payers foot the bill for his spending.

Don’t worry, Illinois. As Knicko Hartung would say, “[Welcome] to Illnois, the most communist state in the country.”

So what does this all mean? It means that there is a definite ethics issue involved in?using taxpayer dollars for personal spending and a double standard. I have heard so many of my and Republican friends speak about how Democrats and Liberals alike have no ethical and are all about spending tax payers money. To this I simply say gotcha! You as Republicans have no more higher of an ethical or moral code than us Progressives. You have party members that are just as unethical and misuse public funds. You claim to use shallow pockets but we as parties use money differently, and I have finally figured out the reason.

Democrats spend money to help people, while Republicans spend money to help themselves.
