Does Scott Walker Even Know What The Words ‘Foreign Policy’ Mean?

Note to Scott Walker’s advisors: In light of your candidate’s repeated bizarre statements in recent weeks, it might be time to tell him that he’s not ready for the big stage of national politics.

While speaking to the ultra-conservative Club for Growth recently, the Wisconsin governor said, in regards to?President Reagan’s firing of 11,ooo striking air traffic controllers in 1981, that it was, ?the most significant foreign policy decision of my lifetime.? Walker went on to say:

“It sent a message not only across America, it sent a message around the world…(that)?we weren’t to be messed with.”

Yeah, I’m sure bad guys around the world were shaking in their boots when the news reached them, Governor. Even Reagan’s ambassador to Russia said Walker’s statement was “utter nonsense.”

Given that Scott Walker is 47 years old, did he completely forget the major foreign policy happenings of his lifetime? Has he heard of the Vietnam War, the 9/11 attacks, or the two wars in Iraq? How about China’s becoming an economic and military power? Does he have any recollection of the Arab Spring?

Keep in mind that this is the same Scott Walker who said he is prepared to deal with the terrorist group ISIS because he took on the unions in Wisconsin. He also refused to answer a simple question about evolution while in Great Britain.

It appears that Governor Walker is in way over his head. He cannot answer some questions, and when he does respond, his answers make no sense whatsoever. Does he even know what foreign policy entails?

In polls conducted in recent weeks, Walker is usually the first or second choice of most potential 2016 GOP voters. But can someone this befuddled by almost any subject have an honest chance at the Republican nomination? It would seem very unlikely. Then again, in 1980 the GOP nominated a former actor who was known to give confusing replies to questions, and he won two terms as President of the United States.
