Revenge Pornography Maker Files Complaint With Google Over Articles Written Of His ‘Work’

First of all, what is ?revenge pornography? anyway? Well, one website has the problem of “revenge pornography”?described as:

?The disclosure of sexually explicit images without consent and for no legitimate purpose? causes immediate, devastating, and in many cases irreversible harm. A vengeful ex-partner, opportunistic hacker, or rapist can upload an explicit image of a victim to a website where thousands of people can view it and hundreds of other websites can share it.?

Craig Brittain s Is Anybody Down Who is David Blade III YouTube

The site also says that, ?As many as 3000 websites? participate in this type of exploitive money making venture. One person that knows very well how easy it is to exploit women in this way is Colorado Springs? very own Craig Brittain. Unfortunately for Craig, irony has a way of evening the score at times.

You see, it’s reported that Craig started his website, Is Anybody Down?, with his friend Chance Trahan in December of 2011. It is also reported that Craig and his partner obtained sexually explicit material from sites such as Craigslist, and jilted ex-boyfriends, to post to their website. Now all of this was said to have been done without the consent of the females depicted in this material.

So now, as irony would have it, poor Craig has filed a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) complaint against Google for articles written about him. Why you may ask? Because of the, as the DMCA complaint description states:

?Unauthorized use of photos of me and other related information. Unauthorized use of statements and identity related information. Unauthorized copying of excerpts from isanybodydown.com. Using photos which are not ?fair use?.

?Unauthorized use of photos??really Craig. I’m sure I do not have to point out the hypocrisy in this creeps complaint. You see, Craig is not happy that stories are being written about his “revenge pornography” dealings. Especially after the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) ruled in January that he was banned from ?publishing nude images of people without their consent,? as Rolling Stone reported earlier this week.

Not only does Craig whine about his ?consent? in the DMCA complaint sent to Google, it also lists 23 different URLS that have supposedly infringed on his rights. These are not just your everyday blogs either. Some of the sources listed include ftc.gov, vice.com, computerworld.com, huffingtonpost.com, salon.com, forbes.com, and abcnews.go.com. Even reddit.com is listed.

At the end of the day, here’s what you need to do Craig?shut up and go away. Not only did you exploit innocent women, and tarnish many reputations, you also made a lot of money doing it. While I have no respect for someone that does the things you have done, I will at least report that you did make an ?apology?for your actions .

Hopefully nothing is done about your DMCA complaint though. Because the women you have hurt can’t erase all of the URLS that have exploited them, you shouldn’t be given that opportunity either.
