Armed And Dangerous Mom Pulled A Gun On Daughter’s Rival

Remember when your mother used to shower you with pearls of wisdom such as ?Violence begets violence, child. Let’s use our words and keep our hands to ourselves.?? Apparently, this 14 year old has not heard these words.

When an adolescent girl finds herself at odds with another girl for any reason, the obvious conflict resolution strategy is to set up a fistfight after school. Given the recent boom in scrapbooking and card making sales, the invitation would have been made in foiled cardstock featuring two bunnies wearing boxing gloves in front of a confederate flag named Armed and Dangerous.

This is Texas, after all.

After helping her own daughter organize a fight with a ?rival? of sorts, Viridiana Alvarez, a 33 year old mother from Pasadena, Texas, showed up for the party carrying more than her nurturing and enchanting personality: she came bearing a concealed weapon.

The raw footage of the scuffle showed a large passive audience until Ms. Alvarez stepped in. She then removed an item from her purse and pulled a gun on her daughter’s opponent, another 14 year old, identified by news outlets as Victoria Myers.

The pistol-packing mother would have gotten away with this outrageous behavior had not been for one of the scuffle guest’s phone video where she is clearly shown aiming the gun Ms. Myer’s head.

Even though Pasadena Police Officers broke up?the fight before anyone was seriously injured, Ms. Alvarez wasn’t arrested until hours later, when the video and pictures made their way?to social media, showing the weapon was clearly?used as a threat.

At the arraignment, after charges of aggravated assault were filed, the Mother of the Year admitted to?bringing the gun and pointing it to the teen’s head with the intention of intimidating the young woman.

Her defense? The gun was not loaded and was only meant to ?scare? the teen.

The school in question is trying to remediate the situation by suspending the girls and submitting both to a mandatory whopping five day guidance program. Because that’s what it takes to erase 14 years of bad examples.

At the time of this writing, Ms. Alvarez remains in jail and the bond has been set?at $35,000.
