My Favorite Parks and Recreation Moments From Season Five’s ‘Soda Tax’

Tuesday, Feb. 24, marked the last time our favorite Pawnee Government employees would be meeting in the hit show Parks and Recreation. We know that outspoken Libertarian Ron Swanson, portrayed by Nick Offerman, will be more than happy with that. We will miss Pawnee’s fearless Deputy Director Leslie Knope’s, portrayed by Amy Poehler, and her tireless hours towards improving Pawnee, Indiana. But let’s take a stroll down memory lane one last time to wish our fellow Pawnians a goodbye with a count down of my three favorite moments from Parks and Recreation’s Fifth Season episode, Soda Tax.

3rd Favorite Moment:

Coming in at number three, and near and dear to my heart in the Season Five Soda Tax episode, is the moment when Ann and Leslie are talking about how much sugar the average Pawnian consumes. We all love anxious Nurse Ann Perkins, but I think even Leslie Knope likes her sugar far better.

2nd Favorite Moment

Up next is an attempted funny guy moment from Ben Wyatt as he tries to “whip ’em good.” We all know Ben Wyatt’s (Adam Scott) character is an extraordinary account, besides his Partridge, Minnesota incident, but what we still don’t know is whether Ben Wyatt will ever be funny. But my hat is off to Ben Wyatt’s throwback song reference.

Favorite Moment:

And last but not least, the “Child Size” soda. We all love sugar, and so does Leslie Knope, but this time it comes at the health of her citizens. While I don’t condone liquifing a small child, I do get a laugh out of this one. This is probably one of my favorite Leslie Knope, and Parks and Recreation moments.
