A business partner of the former manager of the late Michael Jackson has penned a new book about the King of Pop. Mark Lamica makes claims in his book that Michael didn’t get plastic surgery only because of the old Pepsi commercial. For those of you that are younger, Jackson suffered burns to his scalp after his hair caught on fire from pyrotechnics while filming a Pepsi commercial.

The book alleges the abuse Michael suffered by his father, revealed largely in journalist Martin Bashir‘s 2003 documentary Living With Michael Jackson, took such an emotional toll on him that Jackson had plastic surgery?to ensure that no likeness could be made between himself and Joseph Jackson. His behaviour could be explained by this revelation in addition to his serious health problems?including vitiligo (causing him to bleach his skin) and lupus.

The book itself isn’t just being released for profit. According to reports, the other aim is to rat out the people who used or took advantage of Michael during his life. Lamica is still shopping for a publisher, so no release date for the work of nonfiction has been set.

The truth about Michael Jackson and his life are beginning to come to the surface with?the truth often being stranger than fiction.
