Just when we thought calling President Obama’s religion into question finally was a passing trend that had gone the way of asking for his birth certificate (it only took him releasing it to the public like ten times before the Republicans took the hint) James Woods just had to put his tin foil hat back on. I don ‘t know if he ever took it off in the first place. He just had to take to Twitter and say (while making a sad attempt to be funny and ironic) how he thinks Obama hasn’t done enough to prove he isn’t a Muslim.
There are so many things wrong with that statement.
First, Obama said millions of times he’s a Christian.
Secondly, he doesn’t have to prove anything to you just because you’ve been in some crappy movies and TV shows in the 80s.
Lastly, this is America, so it doesn’t even matter if he is. Last time I checked, it says in the first amendment that we have freedom of religion and the state will not give preference to any particular faith.
Seriously, Mr. Woods, your argument is not valid. You seem like a marginally (emphasis on marginally) intelligent individual, so deep down in the back of that thing you never use called a mind, I think you know its not valid. The truth is the President’s religion is about as relevant as your career, which is ironic because you keep bringing it up in a sad, delusional, and depressing attempt to stay relevant. I guess you aren’t going to do another “Family Guy” cameo anytime soon, which sucks because I’m not going to lie — they were pretty entertaining, quite possibly the only entertaining thing you ever did.
You have also said that you? may never work in Hollywood again because of your personal politics:
?I don’t expect to work again. I think Barack Obama is a threat to the integrity and future of the Republic. My country first.”
News flash! Your career has been dying a slow and painful death not long after it began. Maybe not painful for you, but painful for anyone who suffered the misfortune of watching this.
James Woods, congratulations; you, sir, have won the award of idiote du jour, and you didn’t even have to try. James Woods, you are a lousy actor and an even lousier political commentator. Your career is as dead as Ronald Reagan.
