Rudy Giuliani Blames Obama, Not De Blasio, For Slain NYPD Officers

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has slammed critics of current Mayor Bill De Blasio. Many people are placing the blame for the death of two police officers on De Blasio, with police officers even turning their backs to him in a high-profile press conference. But Giuliani, the famed subject of Andrew Kirtzman’s Emperor of the City, knows where the blame REALLY belongs, he says: Obama!

?We’ve had four months of propaganda, starting with the president, that everybody should hate the police,? Giuliani said on Fox & Friends Sunday morning. ?The protests are being embraced, the protests are being encouraged. The protests, even the ones that don’t lead to violence, a lot of them lead to violence, all of them lead to a conclusion: The police are bad, the police are racist. That is completely wrong.?

Giuliani also said that what has happened in NYC this month would have NEVER occurred when he was mayor. NEVER!

From Mediaite:

In an appearance earlier in the morning, Giuliani also called it a ?false impression? and a ?ridiculous myth? that the police are the problem, and added that the police are the ones who do the most to help the black community. Giuliani also said it ?goes too far? to blame Mayor Bill de Blasio for the murders, as NYC Patrolman’s Benevolent Association head Patrick Lynch did on Saturday.
