Jon Stewart: Dick Cheney’s Mind Is ‘The Scariest F–king Place In The Universe’

Jon Stewart had some unbelievably kind words for former Pres. George W. Bush on Monday’s The Daily Show. Like most of us, Jon had watched former Vice Pres. Dick Cheney’s interview on Meet the Press and, also like most of us, were somewhat taken aback at how obtuse the?”presidential puppet master” appeared to be. In short, the guy is just plain evil and Jon Stewart appreciates Bush for one very important reason.

?George W. Bush, thank you for not dying while you were in office.”

Can I get an Amen!

Stewart also asked the very fair question:

?Is Dick Cheney a righteous warrior or a psychopath??

From Mediaite:

Stewart called Cheney the ?best-slash-worst? on this particular issue, and mocked him for setting the nation’s moral bar pretty low by defining the event of 9/11 as torture that the U.S. has not sank to.

And what amazed Stewart is how after all these years, Cheney is ?impervious to doubt? and the thought that maybe any of what he says is ?complete bullshit.?

Dick Cheney, when asked by Chuck Todd to define torture, just kept coming back to the events of 9/11. And for that reason, Jon Stewart said this:

?I see ? that’s just what meets the definition of torture in his mind,? Stewart said. ?His mind, I assume, being the scariest f*cking place in the universe.?

We agree. Can you even imagine what it’s like to walk around as Dick Cheney? We now know that he has no trouble sleeping at night. He feels that everything he did was perfect. Even killing innocent people who were detained falsely (false identity in one case, and the ?man died) was worth it. Don’t quite believe that he goes that far? He does. You will see that in the video.

And do you know what else? Republicans and conservatives are lining up right behind Dick Cheney. Sort of like our paid torturers were lining up behind their captives. Conservatives?see no wrong with what Dick Cheney did, what he ordered done, and any torture that was done, amen. It’s all OK with them. “They’deserved it,” one of my friends said. “I don’t believe it was that bad,” another one said.

Why wouldn’t Dick be totally OK with himself when the only person on his side of the aisle who is criticizing our beloved torture program is Sen. John McCain? Will we ever see a conservative stand up for what is right?
