Surpise, Surprise! Investigation Finds Energy Firms Are In Bed With GOP Attorney Generals

There’s a new relationship brewing inside the political spectrum, one, some might say is all but expected. ?A new investigation published over the weekend by the New York Times, finds that some of U.S’s largest energy firms are perhaps quite cozy with Republican AG’s far-and-wide.

The investigation reportedly found that energy firms in more than a dozen states, are so cozy with Republican AG’s, ?the firms in question have the ability to push legislation they’d like to see passed to the top of the barrel.

Even worse? The same investigation found that some lawyers at a number of the firms, even have the ability to send legal letters to the Environmental Protection Agency. ?The scope of there abilities doesn’t stop there, as they also have the ability, to send letters to President Obama.

According to?thousands? of e-mails obtained by The New York Times, many Republican AG’s are closely coordinating with top energy firms in a move that’s meant to fight the Obama Administration and its agenda. One focal suspect in the investigation: ?Oklahoma ?AG Scott Pruitt.

Pruitt defended his connections to energy firms, by citing the ‘current state of our dysfunctional, distrustful political government’. This year alone, some Republican AG’s have received upwards of $16m. Other Republican AG’s who were not named in the investigation, cited their own reasoning for joining forces with energy firms.. The Obama Administration’s ‘Grappling Overreach’.
