The Rigged System: Why The Darren Wilson Grand Jury Was A Mockery

The system is rigged. I will not be debating that. This is a fact. Study sociology. Racial culture. Socio-political culture. And more. ?This article is to point out key facts about why this grand jury and “investigation” process was nothing but a mockery of justice.

We all should be aware now that the grand jury didn’t operate how normal ones do. All evidence was thrown at jurors, including mostly stuff preferential to Darren Wilson. There was no prosecutor in the room. No one fighting for Michael Brown, the victim, ever showed up. I have never, ever seen a prosecutor who hated the victim and loved the killer. Think about this:

McCulloch’s JOB is to indict; to bring about charges for accused killers. He wanted to stick by a police buddy and fellow white man so much that he is willing to openly admit he sucked at his job, and sucked hard. This is privilege. This is them sticking together no matter what.

Let’s get into details though. Some still want to think justice was seen here and that Darren Wilson is somehow an upstanding citizen who merely did what he had to do. What I am about to reveal are reasons why this was a shoddy circus from the beginning. Everyone involved, including Wilson, were solely concerned about covering up any and everything and making Wilson look good.

The Huffington Post listed some key points to think about and I want to briefly mention some of them.

First, there are the actions (or lack thereof) of people involved. The first officer who interviewed Wilson wrote NOTHING down. Yep. I guess he had already decided that Wilson was justly acting so he didn’t care to take notes. He also had phone conversations with Wilson after their initial talk. He went on the stand and pretended to recount everything from memory and that Wilson’s testimony and their first interview had no discrepancies. Why didn’t he write anything down? This is standard procedure. Oh maybe because this was always the “Wilson Gets Preferential Treatment” show.

Also, the “investigative” work was never done. Nothing that could have been beneficial to Michael Brown, which you know, is what the prosecution and state are supposed to do: help the victim. They took no pictures at the scene. How idiotic does this sound? Oh yeah, because a cop was involved and a black dead teen was on the street, it must not be important enough. Also, a key factor in Wilson’s fantastical story of his encounter with Michael Brown, was that Brown had reached for his gun and at one point he lost control of the weapon, heightening his fears. But of course, they NEVER took fingerprints of Wilson’s gun. This seems crucial. Even the horrible Zimmerman trial team and investigators took fingerprints of his gun. They later said they didn’t because they just believed he “never lost control of his gun.” Oh wait, so aren’t they basically saying Wilson was exaggerating about the gun? Oh who cares. He still had his reasons, right? Wrong.

Moving along, we have the actions of Wilson. So many seem to adore Wilson. For what? What did he do exactly besides fire 12 shots at a black teen. Oh yes, that is worthy of applause for many. Anyway, Wilson has shown himself to be untrustworthy, manipulative, and downright crazy.

Not only did Wilson admit to firing 12 shots at a teen who he knew was unarmed, he pretends to be a child. He has said that he felt like a 5 year old up against Hulk Hogan. Let’s be clear. Wilson is a grown man. He is 6’4, 210. The same people claiming Trayvon was more of a threat even though he was very skinny because he was agile, are now claiming that Michael Brown more of a threat even though he was heavier and not as agile (more than likely). Ok. That makes sense. Again, wrong. Wilson was shown in a previously released video to intimidate a citizen before. He clearly has it in him. And he wasn’t scared enough of Michael’s big appearance when he rolled up to him and started using curse words.

Also, Darren Wilson is a liar. He said to police at first that he was unaware of Michael Brown’s incident at the convenience store before he shot him. Now, in testimony, he says that he was aware. Oh but when he lies, it is ok .Got it. Wilson also admitted to washing blood off of him. Washing away evidence. Isn’t this ALWAYS key to those questioning alleged killers. This shows that they were thinking about their crime. It is seen as a guilty conscience. Yet when Darren Wilson does this, he is not even questioned. We consider this standard operating procedure. Wilson also packaged his own weapon as evidence. When does that happen? Ever.

These are all key FACTS to this case. Sentiment and anger aside (which trust, I can write a novel on that alone) there are real reasons why this entire process was rigged from the start. The special treatment given to Darren Wilson was beyond a mockery of our entire justice system. Justice was never the issue here. They just wanted to make sure a white cop got off free for killing a black teen. A continuing dark pattern in America’ s troubled history and our present state of affairs.
