Virginia Doctor Hosts Nazi Flag To Show Aggression Against Obama

Public aggression over Obama is taking a wrong turn with people finding objectionable ways to show it. In a recent case, a Norfolk, VA based doctor identified as Dr. William Wheeler of the Ghent area, hung a Nazi flag at the entrance of his residence to draw public attention. His reasoning? He says?he wanted people to be shocked and realize that he was offended by Obama’s speech where the President took executive authority on immigration.

The doctor, when questioned about the act by his neighbors, responded with insults. Further, he insists that he is half- Jewish and is not a Nazi. The only reason he put up the flag was to grab attention and show his offense. However, sporting the hate symbol doesn’t show much of a relevance to the Presidential speech and is not the right way to display aggression.

Facebook was flooded with comments over the issue. Some said that the flag is the most obscene of all, even worse than the ISIS symbol while others said that although they disagree with his views, he has the right to freedom of expression in America.

The person who hosted the flag agreed to an on camera interview on the agreement that his comments would not be edited?before they were aired. Most news channels have denied that request. However, speaking off camera, Dr. Wheeler said:

“I am not a Nazi. I am half-Jewish.?I hung the flag after watching President Obama last night. Obama usurped his Oath of Office. I wanted people to be shocked because I am offended.”

A neighbor,Beth Brooker, decided to go speak with Dr. Wheeler, and she filmed him removing the flag. She, unlike the cowardly Dr. Wheeler, did agree to speak on camera:

Watch a local news report of the incident below, and hear from several of Dr. Wheeler’s upset neighbors:

Ms. Brooker said of her interactions with Dr. Wheeler:

“I wanted to have a dialogue with him as to why he hung that hate flag out in the neighborhood.?It’s amazing how somebody can have so much hate in them and feel it’s okay to express themselves. Granted, there’s freedom of speech. He can do and say whatever he wants to, but I think you need to have some respect for people in this country. And that flag represents nothing but hate.”

Most people perceived this as a weird act and are unable to understand what he was trying to do and believe he doesn’t realize the implications of his actions himself, either. President Obama is most definitely anti-Nazi himself, in case the guy thought otherwise. But, at any rate, the flag has been removed, and, hopefully, Dr. Wheeler won’t find another reason to hang it out front anytime soon.
