Ted Cruz Admits He Wants Senate To Be As Confrontational As The Republican-led House

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) admitted to the Washington Post that he plans to, as WaPo put it, “push hard for a Republican-led Senate to be as conservative and confrontational as the Republican-led House.” Note that this isn’t Cruz’s direct quote, but that of the WaPo journalist who interviewed him. But yeah, we know what Ted Cruz is up to.

His first order of business? A series of hearings on President Obama that will look at (and this is a direct quote from Cruz) “the abuse of power, the executive abuse, the regulatory abuse, the lawlessness that sadly has pervaded this administration.”

So in other words, impeachment. I genuinely detest this man.

And he is still talking about repealing Obamacare.

Cruz also would like the Senate to be as aggressive in trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act as the House, which has voted more than 50 times to get rid of the law.

Republicans should ?pursue every means possible to repeal Obamacare,? Cruz said, including forcing a vote through parliamentary procedures that would get around a possible filibuster by Democrats. If that leads to a veto by Obama, Cruz said, Republicans should then vote on provisions of the health law ?one at a time.?

When asked if he will back Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) as the Republican leader, Ted Cruz wouldn’t commit.

Not every?Republican is in the Cruz Fan Club?(thank goodness). Rep. Peter King (R-NY) said this:

?He is the last one we should listen to,? King said in an interview Sunday. ?Don’t forget ? a year ago he brought Republicans over the cliff.?

Ha! Know what would be fun? If King and Cruz both seek the 2016 GOP Republican ticket. That would be entertainment of epic proportions.
