For those of you who don’t know, an embassy attack is when U.S. Ambassadors are overseas and they or the people who work under them are harmed intentionally by anyone attacking the embassy. What is an embassy?
Saying this, recently on social media, when there is support for Hillary Clinton, Republicans respond with #RememberBenghazi.
I think these responses are very ignorant being that Benghazi?is the only embassy attack that has occurred while President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are serving office. Furthermore, when George Bush Jr was President of the United States there were 13 embassy attacks and 60 deaths during his two terms, and no one heard a peep from the Secretary of State that was serving at the time (The Daily Banter).
As I’m saying this, you may also be curious about how Republicans and Democrats handle embassy protection and foreign affairs. It is well-known that most Republicans who hold office decrease funds spent on embassy protection, while Democrats tend to appropriate?funds to handle foreign affairs and international embassy attacks. That’s why there has only been one embassy attack while President Obama and Secretary Clinton have served.
We here at Liberal America grieve for the lives of every American lost, including the four who were lost in Benghazi. The point of the matter is?that if hardcore Republicans are not recognizing this factual information, then they are not looking at the true facts.
